Summary

A stranger on the train tells Kareem you should constantly be reinventing yourself to find the best version, but don't land on evil. Kareem confesses he's been evil before, though he insists being good is what got him where he is today. The conversation spirals into wardrobe evolution. His companion reveals she found a two-inch chest hair and kept it as a good luck charm. They swap sunglasses on the train. Kareem admits he used to be a Midwestern guy in tweed and skinny jeans, went through an all-black phase, and recently switched from soft shoes to rock-hard boots. Today she's wearing a long skirt for the first time, feeling a new breeze, while Kareem's wearing knee-high boots despite his extremely wide calves from being so jacked. Everyone's invited to squeeze his shredded arm.

So, what's your take? You should constantly be reinventing yourself to find out what iteration of yourself is the best, but don't try and be evil.

100% agree. It's tempting.

Have you ever been evil, Rachel? Yeah, of course. Sometimes you just have to.

Taking the advice of your take. You can test it out, but just know you shouldn't land on it for good.

Think you want to test it out because you get lost in the sauce. Like I've been evil, Corrine. But it got you where you are today, and honestly—

That's not—no, that's not what got me here. Okay, being good got you here. Yeah, being a good boy. Okay, good. I'll be good.

When's the last time you have reinvented yourself? I would say today I'm wearing a long skirt. I don't usually do that, but feels kind of interesting. There's a new kind of breeze going on.

I'm not wearing an A-shirt. I just have chest hair. Chest out, tits out.

Yeah. I just found a hair on my chest that was 2 in long. It was literally like a spider's web, and it really moved me. I kept it like a a good luck charm.

People should reinvent their personalities or just their like outfits? Everything. Try a new look, get a new car, try out new outfits, see if you're like a different kind of girl. Like maybe I should wear more sunglasses or something. You should try on these sunglasses.

Oh, thank you. Oh, thank you. Strange on the train. Here, you can wear these ones. Oh, thank you. What are those?

Wait, I want to wear those ones. Those are really nice.

It's nice to just swap things. God, it feels so good.

What kind of guy do I look like now? You look like a different kind of guy. You look like you have a movie idea, but it's not a good one, not to be offensive.

Oh, I'm not this guy. I'm not this guy. I'm this girl.

No, no, I'm this guy. Read it and weep. I need this back. Okay, so when I moved to New York, I used to wear tweed. Skinny jeans.

Yeah, and tweed.

Yeah. And heritage boots.

I know what you look like. You were like a Williamsburg guy. No. Like a Midwestern guy.

Okay, that's even worse. I needed to reinvent myself cuz everyone could notice that I was a Midwestern guy, so I had a transitionary period where I only wore black.

Which also wasn't right.

Actually, another update. I used to be a soft shoe guy.

Yes, and those things are rock hard.

And I haven't gone back. I've never worn high boots like this up to my knees because I have extremely wide calves cuz I'm so jacked, but today I'm wearing them all the way up as far as they'll go. And I guess I feel like a woman in a way that I don't usually, which is really nice.

Are you still getting jacked?

Of course. Feel my arm. I'm so shredded, it's actually crazy.

Jacked. And if anyone else wants to squeeze, go crazy. Like I does. Okay. No, no. Oh. [laughter]
