Batman's a d*ckhead. @I@IDLESBANDbatman
Summary
Batman's a billionaire cop who goes around beating up drug addicts instead of investing in Gotham's infrastructure. That's the take from a rider who tears into the Dark Knight as a "libertarian nightmare" with Kareem, arguing that Bruce Wayne chose to learn karate and play vigilante rather than fund healthcare or community programs. He's not even a real superhero. Spider-Man got bit by a spider, but Batman just decided to be rich and violent. The conversation spirals into why left-wing politics can't compete with MAGA slogans when the real solution is a boring 50-year plan for free healthcare, not a guy in a cape punching vulnerable people in the face.

Batman's a 100% agree. He's a billionaire cop. Bad guy. He goes around beating up drug addicts instead of investing in healthcare, the infrastructure of Gotham. He's like a toxic man. He's like hurt people hurt people guy. He just goes around doing the same over and over again just beating up vulnerable people. Batman's kind of a piece of—
Yes, he's like learning karate so he can go and beat up people. No, I—I see what you're saying. He's just a rich guy who decided. He doesn't even have powers. He wasn't even chosen. Like at least Spider-Man was chosen. He got bit by a spider. All those other guys, they they're superheroes. He's just like, "I'm so rich that I'm going to be a cop." It's libertarian nightmare without actually thinking about the people or the community. He just goes out, beats the—out of people. And I think it's kind of the mythology of the libertarian nightmare that is America at the moment, which is the individual over the people.
If Batman was a movie about a guy who got rich and is like, "I'm going to be Gandhi now." I mean, Gandhi was a—too. [laughter]
But Teresa, if the film about Batman was like him going around and investing in the infrastructure and building something that is boring. But that's the problem with the projection of left-wing politics is that it's not this quick fix glamorous thing with like a slogan like Brexit or MAGA. It's a 50-year plan that takes time and is boring in the sensational kind of personality politics that happens now. Free healthcare for all. It's basically what I'm saying. [laughter] Batman.
